Just watched Clint Smith on a TED Talk talking about the danger of silence. As he says, our voices are powerful and need to be used. “Silence is the residue of fear,” says Mr. Smith. He quotes Martin Luther King, Jr.: “In the end, we will not remember the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.” Mr. Smith makes a compelling case. There’s a lot of silence in the world at a time when we need to be raising our voices.
